Learn Wood Burning - Pyrography

Service Description

This starter class will give you an introduction to pyrography - the technique of burning designs into wood! Under instructor Jackie's guidance, you'll learn about the different materials and wood burning tips needed to create unique ornaments and more. During this fun 2 hour class, you'll learn to burn shapes onto wood and then add color, and you'll leave with pretty pieces suitable for your decor or to give as thoughtful gifts. Instructor Jackie Cory has been producing visual art since childhood. She was encouraged by her grandmother starting with needlework which grew into a love of quilting, mosaics, printmaking, and pottery. Jackie graduated from the University of South Florida in fine arts and art education. She has taught art and quilting for more than 30 years.
